Topic: Big Sand Draw CO2 Flood Update
Abstract: Abstract:
In 2013, Devon Energy acquired the Big Sand Draw Oil Unit located in Fremont County, Wyoming and began construction later that year. This talk will provide an update on the status of the flood and provide an overview of construction and well work activities conducted over the past four years.

Doug Flaten is a Senior Advisor - Production Engineering for Devon Energy, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, He has been with Devon for 17 years. His current assignment in the Rockies Business Unit is to provide engineering support to Devon’s two CO2 EOR projects: Beaver Creek Madison Unit and the Big Sand Draw Unit. Before joining Devon, Doug worked 13 years at Unocal in Oklahoma, Michigan, Illinois and west Texas. Doug earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and a B.S. in Geology, both from Texas A&M University in 1985.
