Students from Cathedral Home Visit UW CampusOctober 15, 2007 - Rob Erikson, Mike Allen, and Dick Schmidt shared details of the new water jet machine, used in cutting designs from metal as thick as 10 inches. The focus was on machines that use computerized designs to create the cut-out images on metal. According to Pat Schmidt, “what was most special about the tour was doing something completely different and having the mechanical shop faculty stop what they were doing in order to be with the kids.” |
