Tau Beta Pi Outstanding Member


May 21, 2007 - Julie Sandberg, a graduate of Albin High School, is involved in activities within the College of Engineering and on campus. Julie is an electrical engineering major and is an active member of Tau Beta Pi. She was a peer assistant for the introduction to engineering course, as well as a counselor for the Engineering Summer Program. Julie has also been involved in community service activities through her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. During the past three summers, Julie demonstrated her interest in engineering by participating in internship programs. She has designed and built a working laser sensor at the University of Central Florida’s College of Optics and Photonics, worked with faculty at UW designing specialty devices and spent 10 weeks learning about space exploration through the NASA Academy Program. After earning her bachelor’s degree, Julie plans to attend graduate school to continue her education in electrical engineering.
