  • Research focus: enhanced oil recovery, transport in porous media





Patrick Johnson

Patrick Johnson – Assistant Professor

  • B.S., Chemical Engineering, Lehigh University; M.E. Biomedical Engineering, University of Virginia; Ph.D. Chemical Engineering, Columbia University
  • Specialization in biointerfaces, nanomaterials, biosensors, and biomaterials





Tara LaForce

Tara LaForce – Assistant Professor

  • B.S., Mathematics, CSU; M.S., Computational & Applied Mathematics and Ph.D., Petroleum Engineering both from University of Texas at Austin
  • Research focus: applications in enhanced oil recovery, CO2 sequestration, and ground water contamination research

Steve Gray

Steve Gray - Wyoming Water Resources Data System Director & State Climatologist

  • Ph.D., Botany-UW
  • Former National Research Council Research Associate with U.S. Geological Survey
  • Research focus: regional climatology and river-basin hydrology



Computer Science
Liqiang Wang

Liqiang Wang – Assistant Professor

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science from State University of New York
  • Research focus: improving reliability of software, specifically designing and implementing tools for effective testing, analysis, and verification of programs





Electrical & Computer Engineering
Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson – Assistant Lecturer

  • B.S. and M.E. from University of Utah; Ph.D. in ECE from UW
  • Research focus: image processing
  • Current research work in segmentation of objects in serial sectioned images





Mechanical Engineering
Sukky Jun

Sukky Jun – Assistant Professor

  • B.A., Physics, Yonsei University, Korea; M.S., Mechanics, Michigan State University; and Ph.D. M.E. from Northwestern University
  • Focus is in computational materials science and interests include computer modeling and simulation
