Wright has DSP Textbook Published by CRC PressJuly 17, 2006 - Dr. Cameron Wright of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department recently released a textbook through international publisher CRC Press. The textbook, “Real-Time Digital Signal Processing,” was co-authored with Dr. Thad Welch of the United States Naval Academy and Michael Morrow of the University of Wisconsin. The trio are well known in the Digital Signal Processing world for their innovative approach to DSP education. Dr. Delores Etter, a renowned DSP expert, indicated “This book has taken a bold step forward. It not only presents the theory, it reinforces it with simulations, and then shows us how to actually use the results in real-time applications.” Although only recently released, the textbook is enjoying brisk sales. Wright was recently nominated for the Mac Van Valkenburg Early Career Teaching Award for his extensive contributions to engineering education. In addition to the textbook, he has co-authored 12 refereed articles for engineering education related journals. |
