1'x1' Wind Tunnel

Brief Description

The 10 x 10 wind tunnel is a small open return wind tunnel that complements the larger 20 x 20 wind tunnel. This smaller wind tunnel allows for testing of models that do not require a large wind tunnel.  It is particularly appropriate for the actuators and sensors our research group develops and characterizes. The tunnel has a speed range of 5-20 m/s and the test section is nominally 10 x 10 x 80 (0.30 x 0.30 x 2.43m). The test section ceiling is comprised of 4 articulated sections that allow the pressure gradient in the test section to be controlled. The test section is plexiglass and lexan on all four sides providing excellent optical access.
