Inlet section
Inlet section of the wind tunnel
has a 3 screen mesh and a honeycomb mesh to condition the in coming flow
into this wind tunnel.
Test section
This wind tunnel has 0.61m wide,
0.61m high and 1.22m long. The walls and the roof of the wind tunnel has
ability for the optical access. This optical access can be used for
various measurements like Particle Image Velocimetry, and Oil Film
Interferometry.
Variable frequency fan
Air flow in the wind tunnel can be
changed using the variable frequency fan. This fan is controlled by a
variable frequency unit which is operated using a Labview program. Air
flow in the test section is kept at a constant velocity using a feedback
control system.
