Gus Plumb received BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He served on the mechanical and materials engineering faculty at Washington State University for 23 years prior to joining the University of Wyoming as Dean of the College of Engineering in 1999.

Research Interests

Fluid and thermal sciences; particularly transport phenomena in porous media, heat and mass transfer in energy and environmental systems, materials processing, and electronic cooling.
