Robotics

Robotics

Robotics is probably one of the most interesting and fast advancing technologies nowadays. robots are run with microchips and in order to master the robots we first had to master the chips. Microchips are basically very very small computers, with their own memory processors and so on. Nowadays microchips are implanted in almost all modern applications. Microchips improve the breaking capability of cars as well as the efficiency of big manufacturers. Here at the University of Wyoming they are used for a large array of robots. From Hexapods that cancel any vibrations of the ground to swarm robots that are able to locate things efficiently and fast they use microchips for many different things. There is even a guitar with microchips that helps beginners by showing the right chords.

Robotics

As simple and small as these robots may be, there is lots of fun stuff you can do with them. Following a line may be easy for a human but programming a robot to do that was extremely challenging. Another Highlight was making the robots beep out the exact frequencies for the songs and timing the tones. Many students spent a lot of time trying to figure out how exactly to make the robots play their favorite songs.
