Mr. Green helps the computer science class along as we write a program to produce a simple tree. We then expanded on the idea using a process called recursion in order to produce a complex tree. That was the process that we followed throughout the week. Take a simple idea, expand on it, and then produce something rather complex or interesting. It is kind of amazing to think that in four days we can go from making straight lines and simple shapes, to creating programs that have moving objects, a calculator, and maybe even a stick person or two. There is a mass of knowledge in the course and it makes you think of new ways to solve problems.
Here on the right you can see the second week class busy catching up. Well maybe not exactly catching up because everyone switches classes on the second week. But here we have the new people learning all about computer science. They soon "caught up," and quite possibly surpassed the first week. Well it depends on who you talk to. Although there may be some disagreement on the abilities of the different classes no matter who you talk to you will hear how entertaining and enjoyable the class can be. What you might not hear is how much they learned because it really doesn't feel like learning.
