Brocade Donates State-of-the-Art Networking EquipmentDec. 15, 2008 -Brocade, the industry leader in data center networking solutions and services that enable organizations to manage their most vital information assets, has provided over $165,000 in research equipment to support research projects in computer networks at the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Applied Science to help further the university's efforts toward research of storage area networks. The donation includes Fibre Channel switches, simulator boards, and host bus adapters. This donation is a continuation of the sponsored research program from Brocade to the university for the past seven years. Associate Professor Suresh Muknahallipatna, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department said: “The research equipment will help in advancing new protocol development and performance analysis of storage area networks, nano-satellite and mobile ad-hoc networks.
