Application Checklist

The graduate application is a two-prong process: first one applies to the department (no fee), and if the department requests to admit a student, then one needs to apply to the university ($50.00 processing fee).

To apply to our program, please send the department (address above) the following:

• The Preliminary Application Form
• A statement of purpose
• 3 letters of recommendation in sealed envelopes (use coversheet forms).
• Copy of GRE scores (minimum of 40% on verbal and 65% on quantitative parts
• Copy of TOEFL scores, if applicable (550/79-80, with a minimum of 58/23 on the listening part)
• Copy of transcripts from all colleges and universities (minimum GPA 3.0).

Please let us know in your cover letter if you are looking for an assistantship, or if you would be self-supporting.

For Fall admission, the deadline to submit application credentials is December 31^st of the previous year

For Spring admission, the deadline to submit application credentials is June 30 of the previous year. After these dates, applications will continue to be accepted as long as there are openings.

When your file is complete, we will be able to proceed with our review process. We are looking forward to reviewing your credentials.
