2006 Wyoming State MATHCOUNTS Results

St State Team (Names L to R): The Wyoming State MATHCOUNTS team for 2006 is shown with their awards following the evening banquet. The team was comprised of Michael Scheetz (Twin Spruce Junior High in Gillette), David Wang (McCormick Junior High, Cheyenne), Widya Adidharma (Laramie Junior High), and Kaiser Mock (Twin Spruce Junior High in Gillette). The team was coached by Peggy Whittlesey of Twin Spruce Junior High School.

The The School team winners at the 2006 Wyoming MATHCOUNTS competition were as follows:

First Place: Twin Spruce Junior High School from Gillette, coached by Peggy Whittlesey.

Second Place: McCormick Junior High School from Cheyenne, coached by Kathleen McKinley and Josiah Stutheit.

Third Place: Laramie Junior High School, coached by Dennis Rimmasch.

Fourth Place: East Junior High School from Rock Springs, coached by Rudy Stevens and Pat Urasky.

The The 2006 Wyoming State MATHCOUNTS Team, comprised of the top four individual scorers at the State Competition, as follows:

` Michael Scheetz, a 7th grader at Twin Spruce Junior High, Gillette .

David Wang, an 8th grader at McCormick Junior High, Cheyenne.

Widya Adidharma, an 8th grader at Laramie Junior High School.

Kaiser Mock, an 8th grader at Twin Spruce Junior High School, Gillette.

` This elite group of MATHLETES travelled to Arlington, Virginia in May to represent Wyoming at the 2006 National Competition. They were coached by Peggy Whittlesey of Twin Spruce Junior High in Gillette, and the assistant coach was Kathleen McKinley of McCormick Junior High in Cheyenne.
