Lindy JohnsonLindy Johnson grew up in Lander, Wyoming. She received her B.S. and M.S. in civil engineering from UW (2001, 2002). She is a registered Professional Engineer in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho and serves as District 12 Director for the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society. Prior to joining the UW College of Engineering and Applied Science, she worked for WWC Engineering in Sheridan, Wyoming.

University Avenue Laramie, WY 82071 e-mail: Lindy provides leadership in the College’s recruiting programs: JETS, ESP, MathCounts, the Middle School Girls Camp, high school visits, Campus Pass, Discovery Days, articulation with community colleges, collaborating with the College Communications Office on developing advising and recruiting materials, and working with the College’s Ambassador Program. Additionally, Lindy supervises the tutoring program, advises students who need assistance deciding on a major, and supervises the residence hall engineering floors. The entire CSS team works together to support Freshman Orientation and start-of-semester registration of students. The CSS team is also working on coordination of the College-wide effort to develop student oral communication skills (including oral presentations, negotiation, interactive skills, participation in teams, and communication with a variety of audiences). Lindy also teaches two-to-three engineering classes per academic year. |
