Overview:

This course will introduce the student to fundamental aspects of practical digital image formation and acqusition, using specific applications to demonstrate these principles. Standard CCD and CMOS cameras (still and video) and standard camera lens systems are assumed. The use of modern engineering tools such as MATLAB is emphasized.
