FY2000 Annual Reports

The USGS/State of Wyoming Water Research Program (WRP), placed at the University of Wyoming, is the program given the task of overseeing the coordination of Wyoming's portion of the nationwide USGS program on water research. This program in Wyoming, as it is nationwide, uses USGS and State funds to carry out Institute sponsored research and education related to water issues in each state. A program Director is selected by the University to oversee and coordinate the WRP. The Director is supported by a Priorities and Selection Committee formed from representatives of the State agencies involved in water related issues. This committee solicits project ideas and determines research priorities, identifies projects and issues Requests for Proposals, selects projects, and reviews and negotiates project structures and teams. As a minimum, annual reports and a final report are required for each project. The Wyoming Water Resources Data System (WRDS) serves to dissemination these reports by posting products on the Internet and by housing records and documents in the WRDS Water Library. The following are the annual reports for projects supported under the WRP during FY2000 (March 2000 through February 2001).

The Project Reports are in Adobe Acrobat format:

  1. Project 1 (51 KB) Hydrologic Impacts of Improved Irrigation Efficiencies and Land Use Changes

  3. Project 3 (1806 KB) Testing of Hydrologic Models for Estimating Streamflow in Mountainous Areas of Wyoming
