Research Fellowships


The University of Wyoming Civil Engineering Program has available Graduate Fellowships (Master's Degree Students) for United States Citizens which are funded at $12,451 plus tuition and fees for the nine-month academic year. The fellowships are competitive and are awarded each academic year. Applications are due at the Civil Engineering Department by February 15th for the next academic year.

Areas of study in the civil engineering master of science program include construction, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics, irrigation, hydrology, solid mechanics, structural engineering, and transportation. A master of science degree in environmental engineering is also offered.

The combined departments of Civil and Architectural Engineering have a faculty of 23 and a current enrollment of over 360 undergraduates and 40 graduate students. We offer strong research and graduate programs relevant to state and national engineering needs. A large cross-section of supporting faculty exist in other engineering departments and across the campus. The College of Engineering has five departments and over 1100 students.
