Research Interests:
My research interests are in transportation decision-making, statewide multimodal
planning, safety, and rural intelligent transportation systems. My research
efforts in transportation decision-making and multimodal planning stem from
work for the National Science Foundation to develop a GIS based tool to
aid in funding decisions by better utilizing both public participation and
analytic tools. My research into rural ITS is in the integration of real-time
weather and speed data to operate rural systems aimed at improving safety
of rural roads during severe weather events.
