Narrative Biographical Sketch

Keith Hedges is an NCARB certified registered architect with nearly ten years experience in private practice, mostly in project management as a consultant for a financial securities company. Prof. Hedges has worked on exemplar projects associated with national AIA Architecture Firm Award recipients. He earned independent and simultaneous graduate degrees in architecture and structural engineering while at Iowa State University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Architecture Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln while teaching at the University of Wyoming, College of Engineering. He has published several peer reviewed papers reflecting on BIM and integrated practice reaching out to national and international audiences, presenting his work in six countries on three continents. His teaching repertoire includes twelve courses at NAAB and ABET accredited institutions. The courses range from architectural design, engineering technologies, to professional practice. Topical content is developed to embrace a global notion of environmental awareness reinforced with passive design responses in collaborative settings. He served as an advisory board member for the Architectural Graphic Standards, Student Edition (11th ed.) by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
